Elongated or Round Toilet Seat?
The Brondell LumaWarm heated toilet seat is the best heated toilet seat in our opinion. It is available for round and elongated toilets. It fits into most of the big toilet brands like Toto, Kohler and American Standard.
If you are not sure about tour toilet, measure the distance between the two toilet seat bolt mounting holes and the front of the toilet. Place the tape measure in between the two holes and take the measurement straight to the front of the toilet bowl.

In case you have a skirted toilet with no means of accessing the toilet bowl underside to install the toilet this toilet seat has a solution for you. Top fixing/mounting hardware is available which helps you to mount the seat from the top of the toilet bowl.
Toilet Seat Dimensions
The dimensions of the elongated toilet seat is given as 20” x 14.3” x 2.8” whereby the 20 inches is the depth. The round toilet seat’s dimensions are given as 18.5” x 14.3” x 2.8” with 18.5 being the depth.
Here comes the problem. The length of an ordinary elongated toilet seat is 18.5 inches while that of the round seats is 16.5 inches.
The dimensions above are measured from end to end of the toilet seat and not the standard way of measuring from the bolts mounting holes.
If you are not careful enough you might end up buying the round toilet seat but what you needed is an elongated toilet seat.
These toilet seats have a bolt spread dimensions of 5.5 or 6.25 inches which will be adequate for most toilet bowls in the market.
